The Alphington Show is a great chance to show off your crafting, baking, gardening, jam making and art skills within the neighbourhood. Enter your bread, show off your floristry skills … there are kids and adult categories. So much fun! And there are prizes!

After the resounding success of 2019’s very first Alphington Show - it’s back for its second year! We hope it will be even bigger and better (and have slightly better weather…).

Join us on Saturday 14 March at Alphington Community Centre from 11am-2pm. Everyone from the neighbourhood (and near neighbourhood) can join in.

Do you make gorgeous quilts? Knit beanies? Love your veggie patch? Paint scenery from the neighbourhood? Grab your entry form and be part of this light hearted, community building event.

Nominal prizes on offer (but LOTS of KUDOS).

If you enjoy cooking, gardening or creating we hope you can find a category to enter!

Check out the list and then grab an entry form here. All entries must be delivered by 5pm on Friday 13 March so that judging can occur on Friday night. THEN, you can come back on Saturday from 11am-2pm to check out the competition and see how you went! And you can also enjoy a Devonshire tea, shop at the local makers market … and have laugh at the wonderful Alphington Dog Show.

Categories marked with an * have three age groups you can enter: under 10 year olds; over 10 year olds; and adults.

Our Dog Show, now in it’s 5th year is ALWAYS HILARIOUS!

Is your fur baby the most obedient dog in town? Does s/he have a GREAT trick? Is s/he just super cute?

Bring your doggy along and join in the very low key and family friendly event on Saturday 14 March. Register on the day.

The Alphington Show starts at 11am, the Alphington Dog Show starts at 1pm.

Prizes are kindly donated by E&A Salce on High Street in Thornbury. This year it will again be judged by the staff from Alphington and Fairfield Vet.

The categories are:

Best Trick, Best Dressed, Barkiest, Waggiest Tail, Cutest, Dog That Looks Most Like Its Owner, Most Obedient, Hairiest, Most Original Name, Biggest. And finally … Best In Show.
