The cupboard - our new podcasting studio is coming soon ...

Hi everyone, as always we’ve got some new exciting things bubbling away at ACC.

And one of them is that we are setting up a podcasting studio. We recently got a grant from our lovely friends at the Clifton Hill/North Fitzroy Community Bank on Queens Parade to purchase the equipment and we are now in the process of setting up our front room (that is also used for counselling, music lessons and BeConnected) as a podcasting studio.

We’re calling it ‘The Cupboard’ and we’re hoping that we'll be able to unveil it in a couple of weeks.

We’ve been checking in with podcasting friends confirming the equipment we need and how the space should be set up, and Lee and I headed off to DJ City in Richmond on Wednesday to get a quote. We’re looking at a 4 person set up and are feeling quite excited about all the possibilities.

We’re hoping that it will prove a fantastic resource for our History Group and we’re also keen to engage with the local primary schools to see if any of the older kids would like to have a go at podcasting. We also anticipated renting it out for community use, and running introduction courses to podcasting from the room.
